The Epiphone Prophecy series has been thoroughly re-envisioned for players who demand uncompromising speed, precision, and tonal authority. More than a refinement, it represents a complete redesign from the ground up. Created for today’s serious musicians, the latest Prophecy lineup unites Epiphone’s iconic heritage with forward-looking performance innovation, resulting in finely crafted instruments that are bold, responsive, and built for modern playing styles.
Striking in both tone and appearance, Prophecy series models stand at the forefront of Epiphone’s Modern Collection. They deliver premium build quality, expanded tonal capabilities, and performance-driven specifications designed to meet the challenges of today’s most demanding genres.
The new Prophecy Flying V™ fully embodies this vision. It features a satin-finished mahogany Flying V body, topped with a highly figured flamed maple veneer and accented with multi-ply binding, blending classic attitude with contemporary refinement. Its satin-finished, thermally aged one-piece maple neck offers a smooth, fast feel, while graphite rod reinforcement enhances structural stability and long-term durability. The streamlined Hyperglide neck profile supports quick, fluid playing, and the extended 25.5” scale length increases string tension and clarity, making it ideal for modern tunings and drop-tuned performance.
The bound ebony fretboard carries a 10”-14” compound radius and is outfitted with 24 stainless steel frets, providing a fast, durable, and precision-focused playing surface. Black mother-of-pearl block inlays contribute to its sleek, understated aesthetic, while the multi-ply-bound Flying V headstock, featuring the Epiphone logo and Custom split diamond inlay, delivers a distinctly premium look.
Black nickel hardware reinforces the guitar’s modern, aggressive aesthetic. Locking Grover® Rotomatic® tuners, a Graph Tech® nut, and a LockTone™ Modern bridge combine to ensure exceptional tuning stability and reliable performance. The through-body tailpiece, influenced by the Frequensator design, optimizes string tension balance, delivering tight lows, expressive highs, strong sustain, and effortless bending. At the center of the Prophecy Flying V’s tonal versatility are its custom-voiced Fishman® Fluence® pickups, developed specifically for the Prophecy series. These advanced pickups offer three distinct tonal voices via intuitive push/pull master volume and tone controls: • Modern high-output active humbucker™ tones • Vintage-inspired Patent Applied For-style humbucker character • Clear, single-coil-style articulation This wide-ranging tonal palette enables the Prophecy Flying V to excel in gain-heavy modern genres, while retaining the flexibility needed for recording, rehearsal, and live performance.
With a tight and controlled low end, focused midrange, and exceptional clarity, the Prophecy Flying V delivers consistent, articulate performance, even under demanding conditions. Every detail is engineered for players who expect uncompromising results. When speed, comfort, and reliability matter most, the Epiphone Prophecy Flying V delivers. Supplied with a Protector Ultralite case for convenient transport and protection, it represents a bold step forward in Epiphone’s vision for the future of high-performance guitar design.
